Calligrafa, ma non ha le mani

Anaya è nata senza le mani ed ha vinto due premi Nicholas Maxim per l'eccellenza calligrafica (il primo a sette anni, il secondo a nove).
Anaya si è impegnata con amore e dedizione, i suoi maestri la descrivono come una bimba determinata, solare, che non si lamenta, ma si impegna fino al raggiungimento del risultato, non importa quanto duramente occorra farlo.Così ha imparato a tenere la penna con i soli avambracci (rifiuta anche le protesi!), e ad ottenere dei risultati degni di medaglia.

È vero che la pura applicazione di volontà non risolve tutto nella vita.
Ma è anche vero che molte cose che sembrano impossibili, sono solo cose su cui non si è applicata sufficiente volontà.

(ENG) On this Sunday's cultural appointment with us, today we're introducing you to Anaya Ellick's story.

People are often asking me: "Do you think everyone could be able to learn to write good?"
The answer is probably "No."
Anyone who doesn't have the proper will and constancy to start studying, putting efforts in it, is probably going to remain a "bad writer".
The good news is that, for everyone else, not even the literal absence of hands can be a real obstacle.

Anaya was born without hands, and still she's been able to win two Nicholas Maxim prices for calligraphic excellence (she was seven years old the first time, and nine years old the second). Anaya put efforts, love and dedication in pursuing her goal. Her teachers describe her as a determined, sunny tempered, never complaining little girl who never stops heading for her goal, careless about how difficult it's going to be, to reach it.
Well, she learnt to hold the pen with her only forearms (she's even refusing prosthesis!), and she gained great results, medal worthy.

It can be true, that just the pure power of will isn't able to solve every problem of our lives.
But it's also true, that many things that are currently looking like impossible to us, are just things on which we didn't put enough efforts, yet.
